The little Paul Scarlet Hawthorn and the dwarf Lilac tree are absolutely gorgeous this year. The pictures really don't do them justice. Craig finished mowing the last piece of the lawn in between rain drops and discovered one of our pretty little humming birds dead on the ground. I thought someone had painted his throat feathers with orange flourescent spray paint, they were so bright. I don't know what happened to him. He was below the tree, so probably a raven or bigger bird got him.
